During pairing, they alternate between red and blue. A steady blue indicates a successful connection, while a steady red signals low battery. Pairing and Connecting

The SMH10 supports seamless Bluetooth pairing with mobile phones, GPS devices, and other Sena headsets. It enables hands-free calls, music streaming, and intercom connections for enhanced riding experiences.

4.1 Pairing with a Bluetooth Mobile Phone

To pair the SMH10 with a Bluetooth mobile phone, turn on the device and hold the Jog Dial for five seconds to enter pairing mode. The LED will flash blue and red. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and select “Sena SMH10” from the available devices. Once connected, the LED will turn blue. The SMH10 supports hands-free calls and audio streaming, ensuring a seamless riding experience with your phone.

4.2 Connecting to a GPS Device

To connect the SMH10 to a GPS device, ensure both devices have Bluetooth functionality. Turn on the SMH10 and enter pairing mode by holding the Jog Dial for five seconds. The LED will flash blue and red. On your GPS device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select “Sena SMH10.” Once paired, you can receive voice instructions from the GPS directly through the headset, enhancing your navigation experience while riding.

4.3 Pairing with Other Sena Devices

To pair the SMH10 with other Sena devices, turn on both devices and ensure they are in pairing mode. Press and hold the Jog Dial for five seconds until the LED flashes blue and red. The devices will automatically detect and pair with each other. If pairing doesn’t occur automatically, manually search for nearby Sena devices on the second device and select “Sena SMH10.” Once paired, you can use intercom features to communicate with up to four riders within a range of 900 meters.

Operating Instructions

Operate the SMH10 by using the Jog Dial to manage calls, music, and intercom. Press once to answer/end calls or play/pause music. Double-tap to skip tracks.

5.1 Making and Receiving Calls

To make a call on the Sena SMH10, ensure your Bluetooth-enabled phone is paired. Press the Jog Dial once to initiate a call or access voice dialing. To receive a call, press the Jog Dial once to answer. During a call, adjust the volume using the volume control buttons. Press and hold the Jog Dial to reject an incoming call or end the current call. The SMH10 supports noise cancellation for clear audio during rides.

5.2 Listening to Music and GPS Instructions

The Sena SMH10 allows you to stream stereo music and GPS voice instructions via Bluetooth. Pair your device, and music will play automatically. Use the volume control buttons to adjust the sound. GPS instructions will override music playback for clear navigation. The SMH10 ensures a seamless experience, combining entertainment and guidance while riding. Audio quality remains clear, even at high speeds, enhancing your overall journey.

5.4 Using the Intercom Feature

The Sena SMH10 intercom feature allows communication with up to four nearby Sena devices within a 400-meter range. To initiate, press and hold the Jog Dial until you hear a beep. Voices are transmitted clearly, even at high speeds. The intercom automatically connects with paired devices, ensuring seamless conversation. For group chats, up to four riders can communicate simultaneously, enhancing teamwork and safety during rides. The feature also supports compatibility with the Sena SR10 for extended connectivity.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Address common issues like no sound, Bluetooth disconnects, or battery drain. Check volume settings, reset connections, or restart the device. Refer to the manual for detailed solutions.

6.1 No Sound or Poor Audio Quality

If experiencing no sound or poor audio quality, ensure the volume is properly adjusted and not muted. Check for Bluetooth interference from nearby devices. Verify the headset is correctly installed in the helmet and free from dirt or debris. Reset the device by holding the Jog Dial for 10 seconds.
